Why I love North Carolina

I wish these photos had shown the depth and the beauty of this area. We took our camper out to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure a few weeks ago and took the elevator to the top of Chimney Rock. Here is the view from the top looking out to Lake Lure. What an absolutely beautiful area. The Last of the Mohicans and Dirty Dancing (part of it) was filmed here as well as some other movies, which I don't know. I would love to go back out there to see the area when the leaves have changed colors. Bet it would be breathtaking.
Thanks for checking in.

These are beautiful pictures. I've never been to North Carolina, but it's on my list of "places to visit before I get too old". :)

What beautiful photos. I love Lake Lure. We're not too far from there, a quick drive up the mountains. Don't you love the big rocks in the River that runs near Chimney Rock too? Gorgeous.

Loved your photos. My daughter used to live in Charlotte, and we always enjoyed the ride down Rte. 81. We went to the Biltmore in Ashville once, and that whole area is just beautiful! TFS
