Time for an update

Well, lots of time has passed since I have last posted and lots of changes have occurred. We are now at a beautiful campground in PA called Lake In Wood where Jerry and I are working in order to have a site here. We are 30 minutes from our daughter and an hour from our son. Our son and his wife are due to have their first baby (a boy) around Thanksgiving. How lucky for us that God has placed us here to be near the people we care the most about. Sometimes what seems to be a crisis really becomes a blessing. I miss NC and always will but can not ever see us buying another home there. We enjoy the RV and campground life and Gracie has really adjusted well to it. Jerry is doing many odd jobs around the campground and I get to wash the cleaning cloths and also tend the gate. I have met many wonderful people. ( I do miss that southern drawl and the friendliness of the south tho.) We are in the heart of PA Dutch Country and the roadside produce is amazing.

As for my stamping, Mindy has all of my stash of supplies and I go to her home and we create together. I am sorry that I have not taken photos of what I have made, but I will try to do that so that my blog can be updated with my creations. She is a SU demo and I help her with her clubs and have met some nice ladies that way. I was so depressed about not being able to stamp and now I can altho I felt so inept the first few times I tried it again. I am proud of Mindy as she is showing great creativity and seems to enjoy it. I never imagined that she would be interested in this.

Anyhow, that is what is going on with me. I think I will survive this change in our lives but would appreciate Jerry to get a job with some benefits but maybe that is in His plans someday. I trust that all will work out.
Thank you for checking in with me. I have a feeling that no one reads my blog any longer, but that is ok. I will post anyhow!!! LOL.

Oh Cheryl, I was just checking the link to your blog when looking for your email so I could send you a card... and I am sorry to read about the troubles you've been through lately. Sounds like maybe things are turning around for you slowly- being so close to your daughter & son and that upcoming grandson! Family can make a big difference in those hard times-- and so can stamping. How nice that you can now stamp with your daughter and enjoy meeting some new friends that way.

My husband and kiddos were camping here in Ohio recently and I saw a few of the "camper host" sites and told him I think we'd enjoy doing that someday when we retire. I'm sure it would be more enjoyable if it was by choice but maybe the relaxing lifestyle of all those families on vacation will make it more enjoyable for you in the mean time. Good luck, and hang in there!

Oh shoot, Cheryl, I just got an "Undeliverable" message on the email I sent you. Here it is:

Hi Cheryl,
It's Kristin from Sunshine, Smiles & Stamps.

Recently you left a message on my blog post about the new Definitely Decorative brochure. I promised I'd send a card to one person that responded, but since only 2 of you did I'd like to send one to both of you.

Please send me your address and I'll get it in the mail to you. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. Congratulations on the new grandson on his way! My son has had cars/trucks/trains kind of theme since he was 2 (now almost 10) and he still loves it- won't let me change it!
Smiles,
Kristin

Cheryl,
I read your blog! it is always a pleasure for me to keep up with personal lives of my internet friends, I may never meet them, but they have a special place in my life.
Things sound like they are looking up for you and being close to family is worth a few hardships; of course, being full time camper is right up my alley - I would enjoy this lifestyle... so maybe someday we will be at same campground???
Stay healthy and be happy!
